ABC and a South Dakota meat producer announced a settlement Wednesday in a $1.9 billion lawsuit against the American network over its reports on a lean, finely textured beef product that critics dubbed "pink slime."
The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is releasing its June acreage report Friday afternoon to give producers a look at the acreage mix this year. USDA forecasted a record amount of soybean acres in March, almost even with anticipated corn acres for the year.

A settlement has been reached by ABC News and Beef Products Inc. (BPI) in the $5.7 billion lawsuit filed against ABC for a story that allegedly misled consumers and caused three beef processing plants to close in 2012.
