BMR Corn Silage Economics for 2014 

In the early years, articles about BMR corn silage and conversations with with producers were mostly about risks. Was it worth it? Would it grow? Early hybrids did not perform as well in the field and the $240 per bag price seemed very high, especially where producers were trying to keep costs low and not have any risk involved. However, determined farmers made it work. Feed and milk was a lot cheaper and experts of the day thought a fice pound milk response was necessary to break even with BMR silage. That was then,  But now...
